The project is a high-rise demonstration building showcasing timber construction.
This 15-storey student housing tower (G+15) features a hybrid wood–steel–concrete structural system with extensive use of timber floors. Its envelope consists of timber-framed façades.
The tower is braced by a concrete core, with a reinforced concrete load-bearing structure and timber floor slabs.
Structural design and engineering :
- Structural modelling and preliminary design
- Wind comfort analysis for the tower
- Development of timber frame connection details
- Coordination of structure–facade interaction
Timber-framed façades under ATEx certification, with exposed timber and metal cladding.
Facade design and engineering :
- Structural sizing of timber-framed facades
- Definition and management of the testing process for approval of the timber frame facade
- Participation in the fire safety engineering validation process for exposed timber soffits, conducted with Efectis
